Away from the water there's a shop, a supervised children's soft play area and organized fun and games during weekends and school holidays.

The picturesque Heritage Centre and 15th century Forge Museum show Alfriston's history from Saxon times to the present day. Here you'll also find information on other attractions in the area such as the churches, the Living World, the English Wine Centre and others. A spectacular collection of exotic and native creature awaits you at the Living World. This unique living display of tropical butterflies, giant insects, dragons, bees, tarantulas and much more is great fun for the whole family. It is situated in 700 acres of the beautiful Seven Sisters Country Park with its safe country walks.
